Over the years I have noticed the restraints that traditional seating has on the classroom culture. Flexible seating allows students to find their comfort zone in the classroom. Comfortable students are more focused, calm and produce better quality work. Traditional seating tends to separate students and we are trying to teach them the needed skills of working together. In hopes of creating a more positive student centered classroom I would love to add in some comfortable seating! I want them to be excited to come into my classroom and sit down and get to work! Heck I may even steal one of their bean bags!
