The materials I am requesting will be exciting, fun, and developmentally appropriate for the children in my classroom, such as dress up clothing and literacy materials to further explain the roles of our Community Workers. In the dramatic play area, my students love to pretend they are a Fire Fighter, Police Officer, Chef, Veterinarian or even a Doctor. I am asking for this dress up collection for my class, along with the puppets and literacy materials so we can assist them and facilitate a love for learning. While playing, children can learn to button, snap, zip, and even Velcro! This will help them learn to do these things for themselves, even while they think they're just playing. The dramatic play center is where their imaginations can soar this is a very important for some preschoolers because language development is built during this time of play with peers. I've have noticed that children that struggle with parallel play don’t realize they are sharing, taking turns and working together naturally.
