When we first made the leap to incorporate more technology in the classroom, we used Science Department funds. After a year and a half of use by hundreds of students, the tablets are starting to show a considerable amount of wear and tear because we did not buy protective cases for them. Since incorporating the use of the tablets in my classroom, I find that my students are more engaged since the information is right in front of them as I teach (instead of having to look at the board all the time). They can write notes easier, and see it easier if they have vision problems and do not have corrective lenses. I have seen the amount of assignments that students were reluctant to do in previous semesters drastically decrease with the use of the tablets and submitting digital assignments. The students have fun reviewing for quizzes and test because we play review games using the tablets against each other. Please help me provide additional sources for digital learning by replacing the tablets that I have currently as they wear out. I cannot imagine going back to teaching before incorporating the digital technology!
