Flexible seating will allow my students to make choices directed towards their learning. Each day they come to school full of energy and potential. While sitting in a plastic chair all day, they begin to lose their energy and start to fidget which results in loss of motivation or focus through the day. With flexible seating during independent work times they choose a location in the classroom that works for them. This allows students to be comfortable and chose a learning environment best for them. This project will allow my students to stay engaged and motivated with their learning throughout the day by giving them the choice of where to work. I have seen flexible seating not only help with student's focus but it also helps students be not as disruptive to peers. The benefits from this project are numerous and I feel this would benefit every student that enters my classroom for years to come. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. The wobble stools are adjustable and will allow students to sit at desk/higher tables but will still allow some movement. These will be extremely beneficial for some students that just need to get the wiggles out. They can also be used as an alternative chair if needed! The ball seats and cushions will allow for additional comfortable floor seating options. They are lightweight and can be easily used in many areas of the classroom. Thank you for helping fund this amazing classroom project that so many students this year and for years to come can benefit from.
