These materials will assist my students in identifying their emotions and talking about different feelings that they might find difficult to disclose to others. Play is the students’ language to communicate painful stories, stress and hurtful emotions. My room is one of the rooms in the school that my students enjoy because they feel safe and loved. They also love to play in my office because playing allows them to relieve feelings of stress, stimulate creative thinking, and learn to regulate their emotions. Children who experienced traumatic events suffer from intense fear, helplessness and terror ending with behavior and academic problems. All these toys have been chosen because I believe that kids would communicate better their emotions through playing and will achieve healthy life to learn in school. The dollhouse is an intervention that offers a physical example of the home that can be used to explain what happens at home from the child’s perspective. Feeling faces support small children to learn about their emotions and recognize them. By donating to our project, you will make a difference in several kids who struggle in school behaviorally, emotionally, spirituality and cognitively and give them the opportunity to continue learning.
