I am asking for Micro:bit programmable micro controllers for my classroom. These micro controllers can be programmed in the Python programming language which makes them excellent for first time and beginner programmers. They also come with built in systems such as a LED matrix and accelerometer allowing students to undertake many fun and interesting programming projects. With the micro:bits students will be able to use their code to control devices in the real world. This is a very active and fun type of coding that students are not often exposed to. Having these kits would allow students to see their code in action, not just on a computer monitor.
