Students will be able to interact with nonfiction text that will help them understand the standards of real-life information such as main topic and details, text features, being able to understand the meaning of unknown words, and authors points and purpose. Also, the topics of the Scholastic News are interesting and fun for the students to learn. They will want to share what they have learned with family and friends and provoke them to dig into more nonfiction texts! There are so many lessons that teachers can do using this one resource item!
