My scholars live in an inner-city school within Connecticut. We have a K-8 school, which children "choice" into through the city's choice system. Our students are inquisitive, kind individuals who understand the importance of an education. While many count them as just another statistic within the achievement gap, I have seen them grow as leaders within our community - critically thinking, understanding right from wrong, and clearly communicating what they need in order to be successful. These children are going to defy the odds and beat the statistics.

About my class
