These materials will allow students to take charge of their learning by keeping their learning environment calming and preventing the child from becoming overly stimulated. Bright fluorescent lighting can cause over stimulation. The light covers will help prevent that and make the room warm and more welcoming to all learners. The bubble floor lamp will give the classroom a light calming glow to allow for sensory breaks. The floor tiles and fiber optic curtain will give additional opportunities for sensory breaks. The chair fidget bands will allow the students to get their wiggles out during learning time without interrupting other learners. The sensory Lego table will allow the students to explore their five senses and meet their sensory needs. It will be a multi-sensory approach to learning. Without these materials, it would be difficult to successfully meet their sensory needs in the preschool classroom. The early childhood years are such a crucial part of life, and I want to provide the best possible learning environment for my preschoolers.
