Will provide books for my students that may not have any at home to read, or have access to the public library to look at picture books, and discover the early joy of looking at that first picture book. My students will be exposed to books in class through shared reading, and will borrow books from a lending library to continue working at home, and explore early literacy every chance they get! My aim is to have at least 200 books in the classroom, in order to give the students access to literacy in each of the four main content areas, math, reading, science, and social studies, so that they are able to explore the world around them, and ask questions that help them make sense of what they are seeing and open up discussions in class with their peers and teacher.
