This is for a subscription to Scholastic Weekly Reader. I find it to be an engaging and appropriate magazine that support our curriculum, both in Social Studies and Reading. There are often map skills, civics lessons, and relevant articles about our government and our world. There are also embedded Reading and Language Arts lessons and activities that are aligned to our Common Core curriculum. This magazine has an online components for the students as well that links to other relevant research websites. The headphones will help the students to use this component during quiet Guided Reading center times on an IPad or Chromebook.
