Reading books aloud to children is an essential way to introduce and enhance writing, crucial reading skills, and character education development. Providing my classroom with these mentor texts will allow my students to connect to the text and develop skills that will be necessary for life-long learning. Using these read-aloud mentor texts, students will be introduced to life lessons about accepting differences, perseverance, determination, and find their love of reading and writing. My students look forward to read alouds every day! I am excited to add these books to our classroom library and allow my students the opportunity to dive into literature and find their love of reading.
