By donating to this project you will provide materials that already have a "home" in our 'camp-themed' classroom. We just need you to help get these materials through our door! My goal is to create a classroom full of collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking by providing multiple seating options and activities for students to engage their bodies while we engage our minds. These 21st century learners like to wiggle while they work. The products we are looking for include balance balls, a community circle carpet, bean bag chairs, and even a teepee tent that will allow them to become immersed in a good book or build a relationship with a peer. Each type of seating reaches a different type of learner. They are very lightweight and can also easily be moved around the room. Once the materials arrive we will come up with guidelines as a class and explore each of the seating options. In addition, you will be encouraging dramatic play in our classroom, which every young learner requires! You will be funding fine motor skill games along with a race car mat that will promote positive interactions between my students as they learn to play and imagine together.
