As a brand new teacher it is my responsibility to ensure my kids have all they need to succeed and I am trying to build these resources up in my classroom. My first passion is to ensure that I help instill a love of reading in these students. I know that having appropriate books is so important. If a student is passionate about reading it increases their skill in the other academic areas as well. These books will help me give my students interesting content and hopefully ignite a passion for lifelong reading and learning. I hope to do read-alouds as well as other assignments to engage active reading (book reports, book discussions, journaling based on stories and themes, etc.) Literacy equals Success!
