After reflecting on the books in our classroom library, we noticed that the books do not represent the diversity of our classroom. We researched chapter books that we would like to have included in our fourth grade libraries. These books all cover complex themes and will help drive our social justice conversations. This will help us make deeper cultural connections and help see the value of immersing ourselves is rich cultural histories. It is our hope that this will help create more equitable learning experiences for all students. Also, Google has agreed to match each donation 2:1 to make this project easier to fund. We appreciate any and all support and look forward to seeing our faces represented in our classroom library!
