1st Graders deserve to be able to move around. As a teacher, I have noticed that the majority of my first graders are able to focus more when they are moving. Alternative seating is the perfect way to allow my students to move while being actively engaged in their learning. I want to give my students every opportunity to reach their highest potential. I want to be able to reach all of the different types of learners in my classroom. Alternative seating is a wonderful way to reach my kinesthetic or physical learners. It is even a wonderful way to promote focus in ADD/ADHD students.
