By adding headphones and an iPad charging station, I hope to consistently employ technology as an interactive means by which to support our literacy and math centers. The use of iPads in learning centers enables me to differentiate learning and provide individual support and extension to those students who need it. I hope to make their center time more successful by adding headphones to increase focus during engagement time. Having a set of iPad headphones with charging station, our classroom will be more conducive to independent learning. It will help them access technology without being distracted by the learning of others around them. It will enable them to effectively employ technology to support their learning. During center time, students access applications to maximize their learning time by supporting and building upon foundational knowledge. Students follow reading programs where they practice their reading fluency and apply math skills based upon their skill level. Having headphones will enable them to make best use of their learning center time and optimize learning. Having a charging station will mean that all students have consistent access to iPads.
