My students are creative, hard-working fifth graders who attend a gifted and high-ability magnet school. Many of them are identified as intellectually gifted; many more are high achievers. They put great time and effort into demonstrating understanding of core subjects and push themselves to meet the high expectations required of them. My students come from a variety of backgrounds and live in many different parts of our community. We all converge at school each day to meet the required standards in ways that allow for creativity, divergent thinking, and high-level application.
