These materials will make a difference in my students' learning of the sport because lacrosse sticks are essential to the game. Without sticks, the game cannot be played. Sticks will go through a period of wear and tear and funding is not available for sticks to be purchased often. We have used the same equipment for many years which has started to break apart and there are no replacements. New equipment makes the girls feel supported as if people care about their success. Having enough of the essential equipment to play the game is the last thing that the girls should have to worry about but unfortunately, it is. Donations of lacrosse sticks would make the girls feel as though people care about them and the sport they love.
