We are hoping to get a set of VR headsets for our school to enable students to travel from their physical seats in the classroom to a virtual world that will allow them to experience different locations around the world. This resource will allow students to move beyond the pages of a textbook or the screen of a computer. Wonderful apps like Google Expeditions give students the opportunity to virtually set foot in another place, complete with a 360-degree experience. Students are able to explore cultural destinations in Spanish class, the human body in science and take a walk on a WWI battlefield in social studies. Students can use Google Tour Creator to construct their own journeys to expand their understandings.
