My students are enthusiastic and energetic about almost everything that they do. As a first year teacher I have been eagerly attempting to keep up with the pace my students set. As I have learned more about them I have found out that the more prepared and organized that I am as a teacher the easier it is for them to learn and function in our classroom. I want to give my students an environment where every obstacle to their learning, that is within my control, has been removed. Our school is in a humble area of town and there aren't much funds available for purchasing items to help organize my classroom. Through the use of these supplies I will be able to create a much more inviting and chaos free environment for my current and future students than currently exists in my classroom. As a new educator I am extremely passionate about enhancing my skills at managing my classroom and I believe that a large part of this starts with having systems of organization in place. It is difficult to be organized with limited drawers and shelves and if I am not organized as a teacher it is difficult to expect the same from my students.
