COVID-19 is raging in our community in Southern California, so it will be necessary to continue with distance learning to remain safe and healthy. Parents and students in our community are facing economic hardships. This project will provide my students with dry eraser markers, pencil pouches, folders and other school supplies in order to help them be successful and continue learning from home. As I plan for a way to provide my students with the necessary supplies, the one obstacle is how do we provide the materials to students safely by week, month, or by unit. One safe solution is to provide all the basic supplies in their own storage box to each individual student with their name and enclose everything needed. The storage boxes will contain all of their school supplies, books , and any other materials they need for upcoming distance learning lessons. I would then create a schedule for kids to either pick up their storage boxes with materials from school or I would deliver them. The kids would be ready to participate with distance learning lessons with all the necessary materials. Please join me in this effort to provide basic school supplies and storage containers to keep our students organized and healthy.
