Students participate in small group instruction every school day and visit my small group table two times a day. Students know that when they come to small groups, the activity will be fun and engaging. I want to take away the traditional chairs students sit at and replace them with fun, alternative seating. Learning should be fun! My hope is that the new seating will be something that my students look forward to sitting on while learning new things. I am also asking for various math manipulatives to help engage students during those small group instruction times. Research shows that hands-on activities are best for student learning.
