Since the pandemic, I have had a handful of students not even able to access our online learning due to home living conditions and lack of parental support. Over the years I have spent thousands of dollars of my own money on my classroom and students. With a growing family of my own, I am hoping that DonorsChoose will be able to help provide me with the same ability to give to my students. I will be able to use the diverse books as read alouds via zoom to make ALL my students feel seen, heard, and loved and to discuss some important topics going on in the world today. I will also be able to use the pencil boxes to be able to deliver materials to students that do not have access to them at home. Each student will be able to find everything they need for successful learning in one box and then be able to bring those boxes back into the classroom for social distance learning when the time comes.
