Our classroom is hoping to get a carpet to use on a daily basis. The children would be called to the carpet for whole and small group, and even just to look at a book if they want to. I feel that having students join together on the carpet instead of just sitting at their desks, makes a difference in the lesson. It would be very helpful to have a new carpet, if possible! Having a classroom community is a big deal for my students. With a rug that is big enough for all my students to fit on, I would be able to create this strong community with them. At the moment, we do not have a classroom rug so when students are sitting together it's difficult to feel as if we are "together." Because the children will be on the carpet every day, I want a carpet that is clean, inviting and something that I wouldn't feel bad for the children to be sitting on. You should be able to feel proud of everything in the classroom. The classroom rug will be well used and loved. Thank you for helping my classroom! A classroom rug is a gift that will keep on giving, for many years to come. I know my students will greatly appreciate it! My students struggle with keeping their materials organized and often lose their work and supplies. Seat sacks will allow students to keep things close them yet not all over their tables. Also, we do not have desks in my classroom so these will give students space to put their belongings and a clean tablespace.
