My students love to collaborate with one another and greatly benefit from receiving differentiated instruction in a small group setting. Currently, our class' small groups meet at a very small table, where 5-7 students are squished together. While my students love working in small groups, our current environment challenges my ability to provide all of my students with a comfortable, functional space for small group instruction and collaboration. With a kidney table, my students will more easily receive targeted instruction, collaborate with one another, and work in a comfortable amount of space. It will also allow me to better access and work with my students one-on-one with any skill they need further instruction with. My students have already shown me how much working in small groups benefits their understanding of subject matter. This kidney table will enhance this effect and lead to more student success.
