These headphones will be used while students work on laptops to practice skills, and receive individualized lessons of instruction. Students will use the microphones when recording themselves reading so they can evaluate their own fluency and to narrate presentations and video clips. The listening center in our room helps students have additional chances to hear fluent reading as they read along in their own copy of the book. And, or course, in this day and age students spend time testing to show what they have learned. Much of our testing is done using computers. These headphones will allow for a quieter testing environment so that my students can truly show how much they have learned! Some students with special needs utilize portions of their tests read aloud to them. Having headphones means they while using this they can work at their own pace and without distraction.
