Students learn best when they are engaged and excited about what they are learning. I like to keep my class engaged by doing a variety of activities daily. We have long 68 minute class periods so this means changing it up a lot! With Breakout Edu students solve challenging mysteries and figure out clues together using communication, collaboration and critical thinking all while keeping in the target language! This amazing resource and learning platform encourages students to use critical thinking skills while speaking, reading, writing and listening in Spanish. These Breakout boxes can be used over and over and shared with other teachers within the district to reach even more students. Students can even create their own breakout mysteries to solve thus taking critical thinking to the max! While engaging in a breakout students use many skills important to learning and growing in their knowledge and while doing this they are having fun! I believe that having fun and enjoying the learning experience inspires students to love learning and want to gain more knowledge. This is one of the most important parts of my job as their teacher, to inspire them to love learning Spanish. With that love as a base they are up for the challenge and can take their language experience to the highest level. These breakout boxes will make the learning experience fun and inspire my students!
