The math and literacy materials on this list will provide students with a different mode of learning. Traditional teacher-led lessons are ineffective for students with learning and attention needs. By providing alternative, hands-on materials, my students will not only enjoy learning letter sounds and math computation skills, but they will develop a love of learning that will last. These materials will be used during interventions to build students' letter-sound awareness, which will enhance their ability to sound out words when reading and writing. Students will also gain necessary life skills learning how to add money and calculate elapsed time. Not only will these materials support students' foundational skills needed to read, write, and solve problems independently within the classroom, but they will also build students' confidence in their own academic abilities. By donating to our project, you are supporting the needs of students with significant learning and attention needs and fostering their desire to continue learning. These materials will provide my learners with an exciting and engaging way of mastering important reading and math skills. Your support in helping meet my students' educational needs is truly appreciated. I look forward to introducing these new materials into daily reading and math interventions with my fourth through sixth grade learners!
