Kindergarteners have many supplies that they need to keep track of in the classroom. Having a chair pocket would help them learn to organize their belongings. Doing this would help them become more independent and gain organizational skills that they will build upon as they go through school. Giving them a sturdy chair pocket will be helpful because it will hold up against all the wear and tear that kindergarteners put it through. It will also give students access to their academic belongings that they use on a daily basis. Giving them the responsibility of taking care of their items will help build independence as they go through the school year, eventually leaving kindergarten able to take of their belongings with pride.
