The students at our school enjoy the benefit of a STEM focus. So many of our learning opportunities integrate the disciplines of science, technology, engineering, and math. We even have several evening events for the families of our student to come and participate in at the school. Our fourth and fifth grade students have learning how to code in their classes and a drone league would give them the chance to apply that knowledge in a fun and competitive way. They will use the canopy and obstacle course items to build the course for navigating the drones and a landing pad for the final touchdown. The batteries and chargers will help keep things charged up and timers will be used during practices and competitions. Safety glasses are an important requirement for the participants while on the course. We hope to be able to offer this activity to fourth and fifth graders that are interested in an after-school club and be able to compete with other schools that share our STEM focus.
