It’s important that the students are given every opportunity for equity. All students should be allowed to have the opportunity to use tools that will assist them in learning. While academics is a huge focus, technology and the use of technology is important because students need to know how to navigate the computer to input their assignments. Time is a factor as teachers are often pressed for time and having a mouse will help the students to speed up opening tabs and apps and move around their desktop. Students need to be 21st century ready and need the proper tools.
