Students will be in book clubs and will be able to share their thoughts and experiences along with the characters in a safe environment. My students come from diverse backgrounds and deserve to read books by authors from diverse backgrounds as well. My goal is to put a book in each one of their hands so that they can not only learn more about themselves but also about their peers and the challenges that they have experienced and overcome. By reading and learning not only about themselves but their peers as well it will make them more conscious about the world they live in.

About my class
