Picture a writing workshop: our full class has just finished a mini lesson on using dialogue to show action in their personal narratives. With these flexible floor seats, students can grab their computers and writer’s notebooks and find a quiet (and socially distanced) spot in our room to dive into the task of adding dialogue to their own writing. Middle Schoolers thrive with choice- help the students are RCS enjoy choice in work seating! Picture a Reading Workshop: We have just finished a mini lesson on connotation. Students break into Book Clubs to spend fifteen minutes working together to explore how the author uses connotation in the book they are all reading. With this flexible seating groups of 3-4 can create comfortable and socially distanced circles to facilitate communication and collaboration.
