This is my fourth year as a teacher. I have previously taught TK, 5th grade reading/writing and 5th grade Math. This year has been a struggle as my library has lacked high interest leveled books for my 1st-3rd grade readers. My students love reading and I want to nourish that as long as I can. My students have various reading abilities and interests so they all will benefit from having a diverse fiction library. My challenge is to keep enough books available to my students so they can exchange their books often and experience new, exciting and quality books each day. With a group of 50 students, I also need to have a library that can reach to each students' interest and reading level. Donations to this project will put great books into the hands of great kids. The students in my classroom and in our school community deserve the best resources available. These books will be loved, shared and cherished every day! Thank you for considering our project.
