By having more a more collaborative learning environment, students will be able to work together on group projects and engage in discussions with each other more easily. As it stands right now, all they have for seating options are traditional student desks that don't allow for flexible arrangement. The current learning environment seems very sterile which negatively affects my students' engagement. My project will help my students regain social skills lost during the isolation of the last year and build a sense of community within our classroom. Please help me create a classroom environment that will promote a greater focus on social-emotional skills and create a classroom environment more conducive to students' needs.
