I plan to use Kindle Fire tablets so that students may spend time during class to practice skills that many cannot get help learning at home. Title 1 students often need more assistance with gaps in learning basic math facts, phonics skills, reading, and even spelling. Daily practice using technology is essential to closing the learning gap many Title 1 students currently experience. Having access to Kindle Fire tablets will allow my students to read, and be read to, using Epic or Raz Kids apps. Students will also use tablets for daily math fact practice. My hope is that every student will have the opportunity to use the tablets each and every day in my classroom and that their success in school will build confidence in them as they move forward in their learning.
