The books that I have chosen for this project are books that are often checked out and on a waiting list at our shared school library. Therefore, students frequently check out books out from my classroom library. "This is an awesome book, you have got to read this!" Hearing this from a fellow classmate is a great hook, but when the book isn't available in the library, students get discouraged. My students usually don't have the means to buy the book themselves, so interest wanes, and once again I hear, "There's nothing good to read!" I hate the sullen look of a potential, eager reader turned away!
