Kindergarten literacy is one of the most important parts of our day! My students are beginning their reading adventures and with these new Flex seating area, students will find a good fit book and get settled to start reading. We will also face these two seats towards each other for our small reading groups to create a "living room" feel in a large classroom. The ability to sit in a casual space that still supports the younger muscles will help students feel comfortable as they gain new literacy skills. This new seating area will also create a very welcoming space for students who need a place to sit and gain some much needed space and time for themselves. The green color is a color that is inspirational and fresh as students start the new school year and use kindergarten as a stepping stone to their future!
