My project's goal is to create an inviting and stimulating environment for my students. Every single one of the students that I work with do not have access to basic school supplies or academic necessities. Please help me give them all of the materials that they need! These materials will ensure that we participate in engaging and hands-on activities throughout the year. The materials will facilitate exciting learning, especially in ESL, Writing, and Social Emotional Learning. I have many lesson plans mapped out to aid this learning process, such as The Human Number Line (the students will become the number line!) and The Cats in the Bag! (an activity that pushes students to make scientific observations!) I think it is crucial that students are given the opportunity to engage in their work every day. School should not be a cut and dry experience. I want my students to wake up, excited to come to my class every day.
