Women make up half of the college graduate workforce population, but they only hold 29% of the science and engineering jobs. Your donation will be a step in the right direction to close that gender gap. With your support, Makerspace classes at our all-girl school will have the opportunity to work hands-on while designing and solving real world problems in their school and community. Our students will learn tool safety and skills while working through the design thinking process by taking a step back and looking at their community as a whole with curiosity and empathy. By the end of the project, they will have creatively engineered prototypes and have working finished product.
