Some students have never read a complete book by the time they enter 4th grade! I would like to provide my students with class novels that we can read together and enjoy while incorporating our grade level standards. Getting students hooked on a good book can develop into becoming engaged in another good book. This novel is the first in a series which I hope will encourage my students to check out the other books in this series or find another series to begin! This novel will set the tone for the year of reading in our classroom! I want students to experience how they can connect to characters in a book and paint their own pictures of the story in their mind. Books can open a whole new world for students!

About my class
