The books we currently are using are falling apart from being used by 20 years worth of students (some are even missing multiple pages or covers) and there are not enough of them for each student to have their own. We use these books as a read aloud and discussion, while we are learning about what happened during World War II. It helps the students to be more engaged with the lessons because it is more personal to them. Being able to relate to a character, that is close to their age, who is going through the events they are learning about makes a much bigger impact than just learning the facts.

About my class
