Working together is a key component of our classroom family. This takes time, patience, modeling, practice, and the ability to take risks in a safe environment using growth mindset. Sharing thinking and ideas clearly in this unique set up will promote collaborative learning across the curriculum. These tables will allow students to work at the same time in teams or individually to display, discuss, and share out their ideas. These tables will provide those students that may not want to share out loud the opportunity for others to see their thinking. My students will love using these tables to share strategies for problem solving in math, labeled diagrams for science, stop and jotting when reading to check for understanding, ideas for writing, and spelling sorts. The list of possibilities is endless!
