Math Expressions is a comprehensive K-8 curriculum which encourages students to use multiple strategies to solve math problems. I use manipulatives to introduce lessons, as well as many reviews of previously introduced concepts daily. My students love it when they can solve a problem and demonstrate different ways that they reached a solution. Students love to show their understanding through using their fingers, mental math, making a picture or proof drawing, using 5, 10, or 20 math frames. The next step is to show their understanding through the written application; thus, we need equal access to math workbooks to help our students feel successful too! It was suggested that I simply copy 250+ pages of each book x 20 books. I think my students deserve the actual workbooks that their general education classmates utilize in their classroom. Thank you for considering funding my request! I appreciate all of you so much! Happy Students= Happy Life!
