Using visuals during mini-lessons adds clarity for my young learners, especially for hearing-impaired students.
This will be "easelly done" with a classroom easel and a document camera for our projector.
We will be able to use magnetic letters to spell and blend words as well magnetic math manipulatives to solve equations. Both can be performed on one side of the easel. The other side has lines that can be used to jot questions during discussions or write a class story. The students may practice their sight words and math facts on the easel during independent work times.
The easily accessible easel will house manipulatives and make it possible to attach a chart paper tablet. This can be used to create charts we want to keep for display.
The document camera will be used multiple times during the school day by the students or myself to show the rest of the class a magnified version of our work. This is another way for my students to visually track the lessons and work being presented, so everyone can thrive in my classroom.
