These cushions will give the students in my space the opportunity to learn and do their work in the space where they feel most comfortable and are able to be the most productive. That could be in the wobble stools already in my room, normal chairs, and I am hoping to give them the option to be able to work comfortable on the ground both sitting and laying down. My students are noticeably more engaged when they are able to choose the seating they want for independent work. My students are a very diverse group of learners and the seating options they have should be just as diverse and able to meet their needs or feelings that day. They should also need the ability to work on their computers comfortably, which is why we are also in need of headphones. When my students are working on their devices, they are often in need of sound to receive instructions or to listen and expand their vocabularies. Having headphones that not only fit their heads, but are comfortable on their ears will give them this opportunity.
