The Scholastic magazines have always been a treasured piece of text in my classroom. The magazine format is different than a regular book and provides a "novelty" aspect to the whole reading experience. Young readers need to be kept engaged and the Scholastic magazines provide that reading excitement by their format, color photographs, and appropriate text levels. Let's Find Out! is the Kindergarten specific Scholastic magazine that will teach my students about relevant science and social studies curriculum with an emphasis on literacy aspects. They will then have the opportunity to take home their magazines and share their learning with their families. With 32 weekly issues, my students will have the opportunity to learn about relevant science and social studies concepts throughout the school year!
