Flexible Seating for Fantastic Students. Help me give my students flexible seating and a sensory-friendly classroom to help them become engaged, productive and successful learners. There are stools that are good for their core that they can use while they are doing centers. I teach 4th and 5th-grade life skills. My students are creative, empathetic, and loving. They make coming to work worth it, and they deserve a learning environment that meets their needs. Teaching life skills is not easy; however, seeing all the growth my students have made this year makes it worth it! They have overcome obstacles in their personal life and their school lives and they continue to show up and work hard. These materials will make a difference for my students in allowing them to move around the room to become more relaxed, productive and engaged learners. The students will have more options of where they want to sit, how they want to sit and how they will learn. My students will have more ownership over their learning as they choose what will work the best for them that day. Also, it'll give students who need more activity and stimulation during any point of core instruction the option to move their bodies while they still are engaged, successful and productive learners.
