Flexible seating, sensory items, and classroom supplies will provide my students with a learning environment in which they can be successful. My students need individualized academic and social emotional interventions to build skills in order to function in their daily lives. Many of my students are working on coping mechanisms and self regulation strategies as well as academics. The use of flexible seating, calming lights, and sensory fidgets allows them to meet their sensory and emotional needs, which increases their ability to succeed academically. Many of my students are not working on grade level and need individualized interventions in order to ensure they are making academic gains. These materials will help me to create the individual lessons that will engage the students to help them grow!
